Wholesale Supplier to Ireland – Trade Stock Delivered from the UK in 3–5 Days
Rysons is a Manchester-based wholesale supplier delivering across the island of Ireland in 3–5 working days. We supply independent retailers, market traders, discount stores, online sellers, charities and schools with pound lines, household goods, toys, stationery, party and seasonal ranges and clearance stock.
Delivery to Ireland at a glance
- Lead time: 3–5 working days
- Free delivery: on orders over £750 ex VAT
- Minimum order value: £250 net + VAT
- Shipping cost: calculated at the checkout stage
- Carrier: On Demand Warehousing, the same network used for UK mainland deliveries
Those figures apply to both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The two are not the same purchase, though, and the sections below set out what actually differs.
Republic of Ireland
An order to Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick or Waterford is an import into the EU from Great Britain. The delivery terms above are unchanged — 3–5 working days, free over £750 ex VAT, £250 minimum — and goods move on the same established trade routes we use daily, not ad-hoc export freight.
What you should settle before your first order is the paperwork side: who is named as importer, how Irish VAT and any duty will be accounted for, and whether your EORI details are on file. Ask us on Live Chat or by phone and we will tell you exactly how your order will be handled rather than leaving you to find out at the border.
Northern Ireland
Belfast, Derry, Lisburn and Newry are served on the same 3–5 working day terms, free over £750 ex VAT with a £250 minimum. For a Northern Irish buyer this is a domestic UK purchase, so there is no import step to plan for — you order exactly as a mainland retailer would.
What Irish retailers buy from us
The ranges that move fastest for Irish independents are the everyday, low-ticket lines that shoppers replace without thinking:
- Pound lines — fixed low price points for discount and value retail
- Household and homeware — cleaning, kitchen, storage and laundry
- Toys and games — impulse buys and pocket-money lines
- Stationery — back to school, office and craft
- Seasonal ranges — ordered one to two months ahead of the season
- Clearance stock — branded lines at below-normal trade cost
How the pallets work
All orders are palletised, shrink wrapped and covered on top so stock arrives in saleable condition. Because item weights vary enormously across a mixed wholesale order, pallet quantity is worked out at one pallet per £500 net of VAT, and delivery is charged per pallet. One consolidated order almost always ships more efficiently to Ireland than several small ones.
Goods are delivered on trucks, so your delivery address needs enough access for the driver to stop safely and legally. Drivers do not decant pallets — you will need your own equipment to take goods into your premises — and deliveries must be signed for by an adult aged 18 or over. Delivery slots are between 10:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Common questions from Irish buyers
How long does delivery to Ireland take? 3–5 working days, the same as UK mainland and Northern Ireland.
What is the minimum order? £250 net plus VAT, and delivery is free once the order passes £750 ex VAT.
Can I collect instead? Yes. Choose Customer to Collect / Arrange Collection at the basket stage and collect free from Manchester, Monday to Friday 9am–5pm — useful if you already run a groupage service into Ireland.
Do you deliver to Northern Ireland on the same terms? Yes, and for a Northern Irish buyer it is a domestic UK order.
Is there a seasonal cut-off? Seasonal stock should be ordered one to two months before the season starts. Island and Irish deliveries have no extra lead time, but the ranges themselves sell out in the UK first.
Why Irish retailers buy from Rysons
- No inflated minimums. £250 net gets you a delivered order — you can test the range before committing to volume.
- Mixed pallets. Buy across categories in one order rather than a full pallet of one line.
- Trade pricing on the full catalogue once your account is approved, including clearance and pound lines.
- A UK supplier, not a marketplace. Stock is held and dispatched from our Manchester warehouse, and forty years of importing sits behind what we choose to stock.
